As we read through the scripture, Tamar was one of the women listed by name in Matthew. When we read her story, we are given the facts and not the story behind Tamar. I recently read a historial fiction piece by Francine Rivers on the story of Tamar. She had to resort to trickery to have a son with Judah. Did Tamar get ahead of God and try to "fix" the situation she was in? God is faithful to His word regardless of her actions. Again (and again), I am reminded that I often want to fix what I think is wrong and not wait on God's timing.
Lord, continue to help me see Your way and wait on Your timing for things to come to pass.
